The aim of this thesis is the study of the inverter Z-source, in the first stage we present a literature review about the different topologies and about the different control strategies used for the Z-source inverter, such pulse width modulation PWM, and space vectors modulation SVM. In this research we propose a new control strategy namely improved discontinuous space vector pulse width modulation (ID-ZSVPWM). The proposed strategy aims to improve the power quality by reducing switching losses and conduction losses. In this work we integrate the z-source inverter in a photovoltaic system, with the application of different maximum power point tracker algorithm (MPPT) under uniform irradiance condition, and under a non-uniform conditions. For the experimental verification, a hardware based photovoltaic array simulator is used in conjunction with a Z-source inverter. The proposed algorithm was implemented using the dSPACE Microlabox board and dSPACE DS1104 board.fr_FR
