Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the optimization of parameters influencing rotary friction welding (RFW) joints using the Box-Behnken experimental design. RFW is a solid-state welding process that produces high-quality joints with superior mechanical properties, especially for AISI 304 stain-less steel. Various parameters such as rotational speed, friction pressure, and friction time were investigated. The findings indicate that the Box-Behnken design is effective in exploring the relationships between these parameters and optimizing the welding process. The results provide significant insights into improving the mechanical properties of AISI 304 stainless steel.
