dc.description.abstract The performance of wireless communication is fundamentally constrained by the limited battery life of wireless devices, the operations of which are frequently disrupted due to the need of manual battery replacement/recharging. The recent advance in RF-enabled wireless energy transfer technology provides an attractive solution named wireless powered communication, where dedicated wireless power transmitters to provide continuous and stable microwave energy over the air power the wireless devices. The combination of wireless energy and information transmissions also raises many new research problems and implementation issues that need to be addressed. The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a simulator of a multi user MIMO OFDM system based on the LTE standard, then the users will be equipped by energy harvesting circuit. The challenge is to study the tradeoff between the information and the energy under different practical constraints. fr_FR
